We have a truckload of Art requirements [well, even though there are just two of them]. The first one would be the thing due for Tuesday…

I. What is abstraction?

    What makes art abstract?

    What factors contributed to the rise of modern art?

II. Apply through sketch and explanation the Golden Mean rule:

     1. “[A Sunday] Afternoon at [on the Island of] La Grande Jatte” by Georges-Pierre Seurat

     2. “Mona Lisa” by Leonardo da Vinci

     3. “The Last Supper” by Leonardo da Vinci

III. Describe the painting “Woman Before A Mirror” by Pablo Picasso [However, I found out, using answers.com, a painting of Picasso entitled "Girl Before A Mirror." Maybe that's the one].

IV. Sketch your design proposal for a canvass painting using the Golden Mean rule

Second would be the three-weekend long assignment. But first, go to SM MegaMall Art Galleries located at the fourth floor or third floor of Building A and find a painting there which you appreciate. The next step is to make this paper, typewritten and printed, ranging from four to five pages, and is due on the eleventh (11th) of September…

Irregular Class Schedules

1) Sept 1 (Sat) – Thursday Schedule

2) Mt. Everest Summiteers talk: Sept 3 (Mon) 10AM-12:30PM at the Gym. Regular classes 7:30-10 and 12:50-4:10

3) Sept 5 (Wed) – No regular classes, but everyone is required to go to school for the Recognition (AM) and Talent Show (PM)

4) Sept 8 (Sat) – Family Day, Card Giving, Parent-Teacher Conference

5) Sept 9 (Sun) – Dorm Open House

6) Sept 12 (Wed) – shortened period (for Hum Week practices)

AM: classes

PM: practice

7) Hum Week – Sept 13, 14, and 17 (Thurs, Fri, Mon) [Sept 15 (Sat) is ACET day for the seniors]

I hope i-print nyo to or isulat, medyo maglo kasi talaga. Para walang lost.

so wala nanamang pasok! pero I have an assignment for all of you… pwede magresearch kayo ng dance steps for tinikling? Sino pwedeng maging leader para sa katutubong sayaw? (leader = magtuturo ng steps) And maghanap na rin kayo ng piece na pwede natin irecite for speech choir… Also, yung mga hindi pa nagbabayad ng reco and batch shirt, sa friday na yun… ok?
